영화리뷰

“액션 장면이 너무 아름답고 정교해 관객에게 최면적인 경험을 선사한다”
-Film Threat-

- Kung Fu Cinema -

솝걸은 솔직하고 정직한 드라마다.

"Soap Girl', the love story is so engaging that viewers are likely to suspend their knowledge of life and love"
-Star Bulletin-

"Soap Girl, Director Kang has been all over the indie/low-budget map. Girl may grant him larger success, or at least a touch of controversy. Seems some people are all up in arms with his portrayal of Asian women as comely lovecats, though from what we've seen, it looks like a winning combo of beauty and brains."

"Cupid's Mistake" has ordinary dialogue between ordinary people in ordinary situations - nothing of the glossy Hollywood variety. "Cupid's Mistake" appears more real in its situations than a lot of the romantic dribble that has come out of Hollywood with enormous budgets."
-Brooklyn Spectator-

"Young Man Kang's comedy, shot "Cupid's Mistake" for just $980(yes, $980), is no mistake. It looks good, Kang shows lots of talent. It will be interesting to see what he can do with a real budget."

Producer/Writer Jin Kelley - Profile

Jin Kelley J

Writer/Co-producer - Jin Kelley

This Korean/Irish actor was born and raised in Detroit City. His parents enrolled him into a martial arts academy in hopes to curb his wild energy. Throughout his martial arts career he has competed and won numerous martial arts tournaments and would eventually fight in bare knuckle and in full contact matches. Being in martial arts he idolized Bruce and Brandon Lee in both martial arts and acting. The drive for acting took over in high school and would eventually carry him all the way to Hollywood. A quick study under some notable writers, Jin began his writing career and became a partner in YMK Films. Despite his career on the rise he has stayed very humble and attributes it heavily to his family and his martial arts teachings.

Jin is also an accomplished casting associate, fight scene choreographer, and writer. He brings as much to the table as possible with every project and has an unrivaled work ethic.

Actor - Tim Colceri - Profile

Tim Colceri

Tim Colceri as the Doorgunner

Tim Colceri was a professional golfer and a flight attendant before pursuing his acting career.

Was hired to play the Gunnery Sergeant/Drill Instructor in Full Metal Jacket (1987) after director Stanley Kubrick discarded his original idea of casting Bill McKinney in the role after seeing McKinney as the sodomy-minded hillbilly in Deliverance (1972). (Kubrick thought McKinney was too creepy.) He never got to play the role as Kubrick decided to use former D.I. R. Lee Ermey, who had been hired as a technical adviser, in the part. Colceri was bitter but accepted Kurbrick's consolation prize of a role as the helicopter door-gunner.
